"It was a nice spot. Obviously not spectacular but very accomodating and convenient if you’re gonna be in and out alot. Not gonna be staying at hostels too much after this because hearing someone snoring like a growling bear is not ideal when trying to sleep. But I guess that's what you paid for. Other than that not a bad stay! "

"nice location. easy check in and check out. we were close to the pool, so music played late and started early. breakfast was minimum; bagels, toast, croissant, yogurt and feesh fruit. rooms were simple. no closet, dresser or drawers for clothes. no microwave or fridge. friendly staff. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at The Emerald a ton! My space was extremely clean and up-to-date, while also having a lot of character - it felt like a much more authentic experience than staying at a resort high rise. Its location is fantastic too, as it's within easy walking distance of the beach, a Walgreen's for essentials, as well as a couple restaurants (including the famed Kasalta). "Although the Hotel and staff were amazing, the area were is located is not as inviting as your stay at the hotel. At night it’s a different life style not something I can really appreciate as I was warned about the area by my uber driver. And the power went out due to the horrible power company in the island. But the stay in the hotel was great best sleep in a while. The staff/ manager is amazing. Most important the hotel and rooms are very clean "

"Our check-in and check-out experience was very efficient. The location of our room in a building behind the gym provided the tinyest glimpse of a pool -- so it was underwhelming for a "pool villa.". However, it ended up to be convenient, and the room itself was nice. The poolside staff were extraordinary in both their lounge chair set-up for us and an iced coffee that wasn't really on the menu. Breakfast staff was wonderful as well. It was a great experience, and we will be back."

"I had an amazing 9-day stay in this room! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a thoughtful welcome letter, a bottle of exclusive Puerto Rican wine, a cute keychain, and a pen. The room was well-stocked with sodas in the fridge and all the essentials—mouthwash, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I loved having my own private entrance on the ground level with a beautiful vista to enjoy. They even let me leave my suitcase before check-in time, which was incredibly convenient. The cleaners were also so friendly and helpful, answering all my questions about the island. Truly a wonderful experience!"

Nice Stay

"Nice hotel. It was quiet and the room was comfortable and well-spaced out. The location was good. Short walk to the beach. They give you chairs that have straps on the back so you can put them on like back packs when you go. Drinks at the hotel are pricey. I'll add this next part as someone on doing another review mentioned so I'll verify it. They charge an extra $40 per day as a resort fee. This can be used towards food or drinks but you still paid for it. It does not carry over to the next day so if you forget and don't go get drinks or food, oh well. For price reference we got 2 pina colada's which were $16 ea. After you tip and tax you spent the $40. You can find cheaper elsewhere. Plenty of restaurants around. We didn't rent a car this time. There really isn't much site seeing in this part of San Juan. All the site seeing is in Old San Juan and you're probably not walking that far. There are plenty of Ubers around for that sort of thing if you didn't rent a car. "

"This was our first time staying at a smaller, boutique hotel and we were so glad we did! Ola was lovely, staff were super friendly and the room exceeded our expectations. It was just what my husband and I needed for a quick getaway to San Juan. We loved the Museo de Arte, which was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel."
