"From soup to nuts, this was an excellent experience. The house is lovely, clean, and well-provisioned. It was an easy drive to where we wanted to go, and a quick walk for lunch (nice little Mediterranean place or Poke nearby) and provisions (Walmart to get a charging cord I neglected to pack). This is the third VRBO we have stayed in for our New Year's visit with family, and I hope it is free next year when we come back again!"

The kitchen is well appointed and well stocked, and we had everything we needed for a lovely family get together that included baking, movie watching and playing with the dogs in a safe, enclosed yard. The pictures are out of date. The furniture is not as shown and not arranged as shown. The "kids room" has bunk bed, not pictured. Pretty sure only one of the other bedrooms is photographed. Yes, there are chickens outside, penned. This didn't bother us but we would have appreciated a note in the listing that they are there...

"The interior of this older home is spotless and roomy. The beds were very comfortable, the two bathrooms were up to date, the kitchen had all appliances, The manager was very communicative. We are possibly returning in the summer for a stay here. The town of Powhatan is small and beautiful."

"We stayed for 5 nights during Christmas. The house has been beautifully remodeled. We loved the open living room and kitchen area. Everyone could be in the same room while cooking, watching tv, playing games, etc. The kitchen is well stocked and set up nicely. The beds are comfy, water pressure in showers was great and everyone had ample space. The backyard was fenced and perfect for pups.
