"The place is really nice and fit our needs perfectly. The location and size of the place was great. We own rental property ourselves so we are familiar with how it works and what people expect. The out door furniture was not useable. It was so dirty, you could not even sit on the deck. Which we were meeting other family members at another house so to us wasn't a big deal but you need to know. "Our stay at the Tiger Lover's Dream Cottage was a dream! The location was perfect and the cottage and neighborhood is adorable. Jimmy was a great host. Very accommodating and helpful. All the extra touches like snacks, water and even yogurt parfaits in the frig made it extra comfortable. We will definitely return!"

"The house was a nice cozy house overall. The kitchen was updated with new appliances. Beds were comfortable. Couldn’t spend time on the patio in the evening because the lights didn’t work. Would’ve like to have a fire pit to use. The basement was cold. There was no dock so we couldn’t hang out by the lake and there were to many leaves on the property that should’ve been blown away from the house. "

"It was a lovely cottage on the lake. We loved opening blinds at night and watching the deer. Just be prepared to drive 15 minutes to grocery store but it’s well worth it. We will definitely be back. Only thing I would do that would make better is if there was a rake or small blower to get leaves off deck and clear path to dock. It can get slippery. "

"We had a wonderful stay. If you were traveling with different age groups, there’s several different levels for people to hang. The hill to the dock is a killer, going down it’s pretty steep , especially if you have any conditions. Didn’t use the water much but we did go for a nice swim once. Waking back up I had to take several breaks. And I feel as if I’m in decent shape for mid 50’s and not overweight.. something to consider if you plan on using the water. Loves the karaoke machine. "I had an opportunity to come to Lake Russell for a fishing tournament and a well needed vacation and needed a place to stay and found "The Shack". My whole experience was wonderful. From booking, to communication with the owner and everything in between was excellent. This place looks to be newly built.
