"Had a 1 night stay here at beginning of march with the family. Stayed in the annexe off the main building which looked out onto the gardens & fish pond. Room was nice & tidy, good size & comfy beds. Next morning had a cooked breakfast which was nice & also had the usuall choice of cereals, pancakes, yogurts & fruit. Staff were really friendly & greeted us by our names which was nice as it felt more personal rather than being just another customer. All in all would highly recommend staying here &...

"This large and very well presented B&B property is ideally situated to visit nearby Hardwick Hall and is just off the motorway. In a safe, rural location, it is purpose built and has plenty of safe easy parking. Our room was spacious well appointed, albeit somewhat functional and lacking decorative touches. The walls are very thin, so our loud neighbour kept us awake most of the night. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate."

"Bed was a little lumpy but didn't stop us sleeping. Place is a bit tired and seems to be a bit of a hotel / hallway house. A few characters having a ciggy outside but they didn't cause any noise or anything later when we got back from a night in Derby. At the end of the day it was really cheap and included breakfast. The host was a chap who was very polite and couldn't do enough for you."
