"Very convenient location for exploring York. Surprisingly quiet considering it's above a pub. It was a bit dilapidated, but very clean. Couldn't get the TV to work, and felt awkward to ask for assistance, since there's no front desk, just the pub. "

"Staff were very friendly especially Bethany when we checked in, she took time so show us where to park and where the best places to eat were. Room was clean and comfortable, and had jockey paraphernalia in the entrance hall which I enjoyed being a horse racing fan! The bar itself does not do any food and we arrived about 9:30pm and really struggled to get anything to eat, in the end the Thai restaurant cooked a meal for us but we were the only ones in there so it felt a bit awkward."

"This hotel is very conveniently located right next to York Barbican. I had an event there so this hotel was a great choice. The staff were prompt and friendly, and explained everything well. "We really enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and calming, the trees blowing in the wind around us was a calming lovely sound. Our only issue was the kettle leaking every time you poured a drink and the fitted sheet was not big enough for the bed as soon as got on the bed it came off the mattress when trying to put back on you could get one side down but it pulled it away from other end so bigger fitted sheet and definitely deeper fit other than this it was amazing and just what we needed "
