"Geert and Hans were excellent hosts and took very good care of us. We really enjoyed their company and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is excellent with excellent presentation. The rooms were beautiful and very well decorated. A lot of time and thought put into the rooms. You will not be disappointed and we miss De Brakelhoen already!"

"Elke and Wout are lovely. They are generous, kind, and sensitive hosts. Their home is beautiful. You will be treated to big breakfasts served on lovely China with delicious homemade bread, eggs from their own chickens, homemade jams, locally made cheeses and various meats. "We are a family of four with teenage sons. Looking for somewhere to stay while travelling from North Germany to Calais shuttle and this spot was exactly right. What an amazing discovery! An old, converted farm done up brilliantly into a B & B. Family run. We had the only family room which came with a kitchen and dining area, not something we expected. Our host was fantastic and could not be more helpful. Ample breakfast included, even for a starving teenager! I will definitely stay here again...

"Bin in bathroom had previous occupants rubbish. Bin in bedroom not emptied during entire stay. Pubic hairs in corner of bathroom, still there 5 days later. Sheets not changed for 5 nights despite cut elbow blood on sheets on first night and 27-30 degree heat. If opened window before 10pm fumes from next door extractor fan enveloped room and no air con available just fan for 30 degree heat. "

Lovely Hotel close to Lille Europe train station

"Lovely hotel, so close to Lille Europe train station. Excellent facilities I liked the layout of the bathroom, complete with bath and separate shower and separate toilet. Tea kettle and coffee machine, very comfy bed and the pillows are brilliant, not like french pillows at all ! Microwave in the room and there are some ready meals in the reception area that looked good. Great staff, all very friendly and they love to say bonjour. Thank you for a comfortable stay, hope to be back soon."

"I originally had a different hotel booked but changed to this one at the last minute since it was closer to the city center and I read another review saying how it was very close to a parking garage. It ended up being ideally located, especially its proximity to the parking garage. The exit door from the garage is literally across the street (literally a few steps since it isn't a wide street) from the entrance to the hotel! The hotel room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, there was a kitchenette in the room, and it was close enough to walk around the city. If you just need a place to sleep, this is just fine. It's clean, comfortable, and affordable. If you do plan on driving, be aware that the hotel is located in a "low emissions zone" so the vehicle you drive must comply or you can be fined. Google "low emissions zone" and Ghent to fully understand what this means if you plan to drive! I would definitely stay here again."
