As we relax a little bit now over Covid 19 we have changed book in to 4pm and check out to 10am. As always we will message you as soon as the property is ready on your check in day.

'The Milking Parlour' was converted in 2008. It is just 2 miles from the popular harbour town of St Ives, but peacefully located high near the dramatic north Cornwall coast and ideal for exploring the rugged cliffs and country of this beautiful area. The property has slate floors throughout, with underfloor heating powered by geothermal energy from our own boreholes. In addition infrared panels have been fitted to the ceiling in the living room in case you need an extra burst of heat. Also, solar panels make the most of the sunlight to make this a very energy efficient property.
The property has two bedrooms, (one with king size bed, and en suite wet room; the second with twin beds,) family bathroom, kitchen/diner, and large living room with wood burning stove, and a 'hideaway' double bed.
Outside to one side of the property is an enclosed courtyard area, while on the other side there is a garden and large raised patio area with a panoramic view down to the sea - the ideal place to enjoy a barbecue and watch the sun set. there is parking for 3 or more cars.


Bookings: Usually Saturday to Saturday in the main part of the summer, but in early or late season shorter stays are possible. Check out the calendar to see what's available, or send us an enquiry, we are always happy to try and accommodate your holiday.

Perfect get away
Just what we needed, a comfortable and peaceful few days away in one of the most beautiful parts of the South West. Plenty of walks and only a short car ride from towns & facilities. The cottage has everything you need. Fully recommend it.

A wonderful stay in a gorgeous property
Sarah’s communication was brilliant. The property is a in a beautiful rural location. The photos are fab, but don’t do the property justice, it was excellent. The attention to small details like having bed guards, high chairs etc available was brilliant, and the welcome basket of Cornish goodies was a lovely touch. We stayed for a short break and the Property was perfect for us. A stunning setting with lovely walks close by and a view of the sea in the distance. A great location for walking and a peacful holiday
Very spacious, the outdoor areas were perfect and and either side was always in the sun, luckily we had a few sunny days. The decor was tasteful with comfy bed and sofas. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Highly recommended.

Superb property and location
The location is excellent in a beautiful spot and easy access to main attractions in the car. We love walking and walked in to St Ives and the around lovely surrounding area. The property itself was clean and comfortable with everything you could possible want. The farmer working nearby was very friendly and gave us lots of great travel tips too. Would definitely book again.

Lovely cottage in the countryside. Great amenities and everything you could need. Milk, coffee, tea and bread would be lovely on arrival as it is a bit away from a supermarket and it would be nice to have a drink before exploring the area. Other than that we had a fantastic stay and would recommend it highly. Great communication with owner who recommended places to visit and eat 😄

A fabulous pet friendly cottage in a peaceful location surrounded by fantastic countryside walks. Only a miles to St Ives and Penzance. Penzance Sainsbury’s is a short walk from a lovely beach and( for electric car users) you can charge for free. The locality has many historic sites, castles and numerous areas of outstanding natural beauty. Once you’ve been to the Milking parlour in Trowednack you’ll want to go again.

Lovely home
Clean tidy and in a quiet location within 5 mins from St Ives. Too far to walk and with Parking always a problem in town, this is the only downside. Home has everything you need, hosts communicate quickly and the neighbours are friendly. Would recommend to friends and would stay again.

We had a lovely long weekend here with my partner, parents and in-laws. The house is set up for 6 adults, with a well-equipped kitchen, and large living room - we could have stayed for a week without getting under each other's feet. Comfy beds, two great bathrooms, two patios, bbq, nice country walks with ocean views. You will need to drive or cycle in to St Ives, but we enjoyed being away from the busy town centre.

We spent two magnificent sun-drenched weeks in the Milking Parlour. High-quality accommodation in lovely peaceful surroundings and wonderful neighbours providing lots of helpful hints. Peaceful Week
Booked for 4 adults and 3 medium dogs, accommodation was perfectly sized with plenty of space throughout. Location fabulous, peace and quiet but minutes away from main road into St Ives, Penzance etc. Kitchen well stocked with equipment, 2 bathrooms both with lovely showers and a good supply of towels. Fabulous private back yard area (especially if you have dogs) with 3 doors to the area from the property. All in all a lovely week - we will definately be back.
