"The staff are amazing at this hotel. The breakfast was great and buffet with porridge/a range of cereals /fruit/yogurt etc. lovely bread too! We had a sea view and it was amazing looking over the beach and the small train . Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel team. Thank you x. We will come again soon. Ps bus stop right outside the hotel to many top places to visit. Train station a few yards away to Penzance, st Erth and more! "

"I used this for a business trip. It has an allocated parking space and handily located near to supermarket, shops and food options. Cozy and nicely equipped with a good shower, kitchenette and bed."

"Property felt unloved and photos made it look a lot better than it was. Garden very unkept, lawn not cut. Door handles falling off. No welcome pack or any instructions for the house. I would not return to this property. Felt over charged for what it was. "

"Only drawback really was it opens onto a busy-ish road. Parking nearby on Station Hill was fine (make sure your handbrake works). One or two little niggles sorted out quickly by the property manager Alex (thanks Alex!)"

"We stayed here as a family group of 10 incl. 3 generations. We found the house charming, and we were able to explore around Cornwall from Penzance to Tintagel from this central location. I chose to round up to 5 overall stars because the host was quick to assist when we needed a question answered and we were happy travelers, but I will note a few things which would've made the stay even better: We were only able to use the one shower on the ground floor because the one upstairs over the antique tub was very impractically tight. Assume you'll need to bathe or share one shower. It should be noted that the main staircase divides in one direction toward the bathroom and the bedroom with bunked beds, and then splits in the other direction toward the 3 remaining bedrooms. This means that the guests in those 3 bedrooms must go down one flight of stairs and up another to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Just want to note that for other travelers who may have difficulty on a lot of stairs in the dark. The clothes dryer vents inside, onto the floor. This creates a wet floor and a great deal of steam. While we wanted to dry our clothes, we didn't want to expose the house to that kind of steam, so we needed to open the back door and shut the door to the rest of the house whenever we needed to run that appliance. We would've much preferred just using a clothes line or drying rack, but none could be found. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would consider returning!"

"We have experienced a delightful stay at Halwell Lodge B&B, spending two comfortable nights in the Luxury Double Room, well appointed and perfectly presented, looking out on a lovely garden. Choices at Breakfast were very good and served in great style in a beautiful Dining Room-Conservatory with garden views. Parking is secluded and secure. Our Hosts Tressa & Steve made us so very welcome that we will certainly stay again. All together, a perfect and pleasurable experience and highly recommended. "
