"Old Kirkstead is a really nice spot which was enjoyed by kids and parents alike. We'd never been to this part of Scotland before but we'll be back for longer in the summer having only had three nights this time round. Hilary (the host) couldn't have been more helpful after we managed to completely mess up the booking too!"

"We really y enjoyed our obey night stopover on the way home from a great holiday in Shetland. The room was very comfortable (would have preferred a double but only twin available when we booked). Very nice bar & the food in the restaurant was oustanding both dinner & breakfast. Slightly odd that the pub was virtually empty on a Friday night but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Nice, spacious room with everything you could possibly need and more. Great breakfast with lots of nice choices. Conveniently close to the bus stop from Berwick-Upon-Tweed. The only slight downside was that the pub patrons were noisy outside on the Saturday night."
