Plenty of restaurants and shops on the 8th Ave, subway stations on the 7th and 8th Ave. so no problems reaching all places in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Bronx. "This is a shared apartment that means you share the apartment with others. I was confused thinking I will have a room in the apartment while kitchen and living area will be for us. But, there are 3 rooms and more people might check in while you are there. We were there and young (undergrad) people with their friends checked in thinking they can party all night. They also thought the entire apartment was for them. But communication with owner was smooth and things were taken care of. "

"My roommate and I stayed in this unit as temp living for 3 months. The unit is extremely clean and is nicely updated. The owner lives nearby and is very responsive. He was aways was quick to solve any issues that came up. Only downside is the location is about a 15 min walk to the nearest subway station but there are plenty groceries, bars, parks, etc in walking distance."

"While the room itself was in good condition and the host was responsive when I arrived (2 guests) there was only one towel awkwardly hanging in the closet that was soiled and the only additional towel was in the shared kitchen cabinet (still only 1 towel) additional guests left dishes around in kitchen that smelled and upstairs neighbors had a extremely loud party that lasted until 8am!"

We loved the location in Park slope a block and a half walk to the Union Street train station and three stops into Manhattan.
