"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Royal Oak. Food can be ordered in the evening until 8pm and the menu is extensive and good value. We received a friendly welcome at this family run inn. The full english breakfast was delicious and included in our room price which made it very good value. The bedroom was large with a fairly new ensuite shower and toilet. "Had a lovely one night stay at Hedgefield House. It was very quiet and peaceful and was just what i was looking for, for a good night's sleep. They don't have breakfast available but that suited me as i only wanted to sleep there. The owner was very warm and welcoming and his cat Lilly was extremely friendly in the foyer which was another reason to go back! 😻"

"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. "Stayed here on a whim, travel a lot with work and try to pick small independent places where I can, usually with a pub. Unfortunately, the pub was shut as it was a Monday, but I just crossed the road and went there for food and drinks so no problem. The room was beautiful, bright, very clean and very spacious.
