The location was just close enough to get to a handful of restaurants and shops with a quick drive but the neighborhood was also walkable and quiet at night. John gave us plenty of good ideas for a day trip and nearby sights."

"My husband and I stayed almost a week here as an inbetween stop from the Carolinas on our way home. The views were fantastic and look just like the pictures. The lake was very peaceful and we walked the complex every morning and afternoon despite the crummy weather. Everyone who lived there was friendly and we enjoyed the restaurant/bar a few times. My only disappointment was we were unable to rent kayaks/ boat because they close down after labor day."

"The clerks were friendly and helpful. Nelson and the breakfast attendant went above and beyond to welcome us and to add pleasure to our stay. The hotel itself was clean but nothing in the hotel stood out as worth mentioning. We couldn't find any good sit down to eat places near the hotel other than Applebees which was horrible!"

"Very nice place friendly, clean and the food line is 2 walking minutes away. Going to down town Danville takes 8-10 min drive. "
