"Lovely place to spend a few days the owner is really friendly and helpful. Had a great time. Owner even returned a ring we left in the property. Meals provided were excellent and everyone enjoyed them and we really enjoyed the hot tub / sauna. Highly recommended "

"The cottage was lovely, clean and cosy. But the cottage its self is very remote . You need to get your supplies before you get there as there is nothing in the cottage has in a welcome pack . The hot tub was only luke warm and was never checked all weekend. Which wasnt good ! I was expecting it to be hot / warm . The cottage could do with suppling a few essentials like salt , pepper , oil and more than 1 toilet roll for 2 toilets . But the cottage itself was nice, clean and well presented,...

"We had a week’s stay at Orton Hall in Nell Gwyn Cottage. The front room and bedroom were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, but it all felt a bit dated. The grounds were lovely, but unfortunately it rained every day we stayed there, so we couldn’t really explore them. "It's a beautiful area with stunning scenery just a short drive away. The house itself has so much character with a lovely large kitchen/dining area and big lounge. The garden is beautiful too - quiet and enclosed. We loved that you could walk to Kirkby Stephen over Frank's Bridge, which we did quite often. All in all, we had a lovely weekend."
