"Room could have been cleaned to a higher standard, dust behind the tv and in various places. bathroom had mould in the shower and sealant needs replacing in a number of areas. Constant foghorn type noise emanating from the ground floor of Oakham block. "

"All I can tell you is this place was absolutely phenomenal for us as a father with his two children. We were moved into the space room which is themed with star lights, bunkbeds, a control panel and loads of fun things for the children. I cannot fault any part of the entire trip. From the free car park to the amazing receptionist to checking us in early, the amazing huge breakfast choice and the warmth and comfort of the bedroom. This is simply one of the best hotels for the price I have stayed in the UK. This is not a five star hotel with glitz and glamour and expensive furnishings but it is a welcoming comfortable and happy place to stay with friends and family whilst in Leicester."

"Lovely old period building with lots of history, even has its own chapel which is used for weddings. There is also an annex which has standard rooms. If you want to stay in the old building you need to book a superior room.Highly recommended for those who want a quiet place to stay. Local national heritage parks (Bradgate Park, Swithland woods) are close by - great for walkers and the hotel is also dog friendly."
