"Very friendly staff on arrival, convenient location, reasonable price, with updated rooms. Restaurant and coffeeshop on the property. "

"The property checks off all the boxes of a high-end property. However, there were a few points of concern. We upgraded our room to find that the carpet had a huge red stain. The hotel staff was very apologetic and offered to comp one night of the upgrade charge. Although I appreciated the gesture, it was very minimal and at the very least, they should have given a full night refund seeing that we had to look at the stain for the full five days of our stay. The second point was the use of the credits. Our room came with a nightly credit. However, we were not aware that the credit had to be used each day. ‘We ended up losing the credits because the terms of use were not clearly explained. This is a small thing and in no way detracts from the service. However, had we known the terms of use in advance we would have purchased coffee or something rather than thinking the balance of the credit would be deducted from the final bill. Take away lesson, if the terms are not adequately explained, ask about how credits will be applied and whether they expire. "

"The building itself is very old and has not been very well maintained. However, the rooms are great. Very comfortable and clean. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. Everyone that I have met staying here is also extremely pleasant which makes feel even more secure and "at home" away from home. Please note that this is not a hotel that I would recommend if you're traveling and looking for that spoiled vacation, luxury feel and expecting to be near activities and events throughout your visit. This is a very good choice for those traveling on a budget who want a comfortable and affordable place where they can rest. It's also a great choice for the locals or individuals who are needing a night to night or short term spot to be. There's free breakfast if you can wake up early enough. I am very particular about what I eat and the eggs and has roqns were great. There's waffles, muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal and fruit too. Amongst other things. Coffee, tea, juice, milk, etc. The staff is wonderful about breakfast too staying on top of keeping it clean and restocked including the hot items."
