I stay regularly at the Red Lion, normally I am down on the end away from the highway. This stay I was on the end by the highway and train. The sounds kept me awake all night. I will be requesting to stay at the other end from now on. Otherwise I love the Red Lion.

It’s a good place if you’re looking for a night’s sleep. Beds are comfortable. I gave two stars for cleanliness because my buddy and I saw a long strand of hair on the bathroom faucet. That shows the standard of cleaning.

The first room we were given was very musty/dusty, the bathtub was not draining but worst of all the room had bugs the bit my granddaughter, she woke up with several bite marks. We also did not sleep well the first night due to the bugs and consistent itchiness. The gentleman at the desk the next morning was very understanding and accomodated us with a different room. We had scheduled a 5 day stay that included breakfast, but the hours of service were confuding and even when we showed up half hour before closing there were very few options as they had run out of items. The hotel did not reflect what I have known to be their reputation.

I think a fan is necessary in the bathrooms to remove the moisture from the shower, etc. Also, I would’ve appreciated clean towels. When I asked housekeeping, they said they did not speak English..
