"Incredibly cute house and very nice property. Nice to have access to kitchen and dining area. It is however an incredibly old house, which means you can hear everything - made us very aware of any noise we made - talking, walking, etc. Very glad we stayed here as was a very unique property, just something to keep in mind as felt very aware of any sounds we made. "It is a lovely property with a great view. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. The cafe had great food and the prices were reasonable for the area. Only complaint was that the hot tub area did not have no-slip mats and with the water and cold the floor froze up and I fell and broke my arm. "This was my absolute favorite stay on the ring road! I wasn’t expecting much, just by the description and the few reviews that I read, but we really enjoyed the whole property. Check in was easy and they showed us around the property a bit before showing us to our room. The room we had was clean and comfortable. "Stayed in small camping pod and loved it. Loved the atmosphere there. Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "

"Pleasantly surprised, this was a hidden gem! Spacious rooms that were simple, yet inviting with comfortable beds. Excellent kitchen with everything we needed. We woke up to a delicious breakfast. Excited that the "northern lights decided to come out and play"!"

Lovely place in a lovely location

"Very clean and spacious room, even though I booked a single room. Bathroom was lovely, lovely shower, and local Icelandic shower gel which smells incredible! Great coffee/tea machine that you can help yourself to 24/7, great for those times when you need to be awake at 2am for an Aurora run. Lovely views of Laugarvatn lake and beautiful mountains on the other side. Great location in the golden circle close to Friðheimar tomato farm, Þingvellir national park, Geysir and Brúarfoss to name a few. Few minutes walk to the lovely Laugarvatn Fontana geothermal baths. Would stay again. "

Would definitely stay again!

"Everything was great for our needs. It was our last night in Iceland before flying back to Florida. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. The dining room was beautiful and we had dinner and drinks afterward in the bar. The art on the walls throughout was fantastic and the experience pleasant. "
