"I would recommend Carla’s place to anyone traveling through the area. Carla her self checked my friend and i in late in the evening. She stayed to make sure our tv worked and told us some cool places near by to check out. The room was perfect for two people just needing a place to stay. Beautiful sunrise view, nice patio to enjoy coffee. Horse shoe and cornhole games in the yard. Refrigerator, coffee, and even a microwave. What really stood out and what would bring us back, is how accommodating Carla was. We woke up to a flat tire in the morning and with it being on a weekend, no place around was able to help. Carla was understanding and told us to stay as long as we needed past check out untill we could get help to get us back on the road safely! "

"Amazing Stay at a Serene Lake Superior Retreat! We recently stayed at a lake house near Lake Linden, nestled right on the shores of Lake Superior, and it was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—secluded enough to enjoy peace and quiet but close to local amenities and the charming town of Lake Linden. The house itself was immaculate, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The large windows provided breathtaking views of the lake, especially during sunrise. We loved spending our mornings sipping coffee on the deck and evenings by the cozy firepit. The kitchen had all the essentials for cooking, and we appreciated the little thoughtful touches like board games and a list of local hotspots to check out. One of the highlights was the private access to the lake. Whether you're into kayaking, fishing, or just lounging by the water, this spot is ideal. We even spotted some wildlife and took advantage of nearby hiking trails. The fall colors were just popping out, making it a perfect getaway for nature lovers. Overall, this lake house was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Whether you're looking to relax, explore the great outdoors, or just enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior, I highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back!"

"The grounds and lake house are well kept and family friendly. We all appreciated the spaciousness and the comfort of the living room. That being said, our teenagers hardly left the dock. They came in the house only to eat and sleep. Fishing was so much fun. The sandy bottom of the lake was great on the feet. Jim was very accommodating and easy to contact. This is obviously a much loved house. I would recommend bringing all your supplies including toilet paper and paper towels, foil, etc. There is little available in the immediate area. You have to go to Marquette which is 1.5 hour round trip. That is hard to do because once you are at the house, you don't want to leave. If you have a special dish you wish to cook, I recommend bringing your own knifes and pans. There are plenty of utensils, plates, etc, but the knives, pots and pans are very basic. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable retreat, this is the place."

"Property was as advertised. Rustic and a lot of time went into all the bear nick nacks and bear themed items around the cabin. I would love to have this place. The highway can be a little noisy at times as other people have stated. But I signed up knowing it was there. Beach area has concrete steps that are uneven getting to beach. Just adds to the charm."
