"This was a great spot to stay in Sintra! It was a quick walk from the crazy bustle of the tourist area and had a wonderful shared space to relax. The property is well stocked and extremely homey. I would definitely stay there again!"

"The staff especially Rueben were all very wonderful! I loved my stay there. Just be aware the road outside is closed to traffic but they will give you a code so a driver can access. I was there during the terrible Martinho storm and the road was closed so the owner actually carried my luggage up the hill for me! I will definitely come back! "

"Beautiful boutique hotel with great views, walking to attractions and town within 5 minutes, amazing breakfast and service. Rarely you get breakfast made to order with freshly baked basket of bread, and freshly sweets juice as most hotels let alone a boutique premise. "The hotel was located on the slope which you need to walk with care from slipping. Is dangerous for old people. The room is a good size to place luggage’s. Shower water pressure is great. But the toilet area is tight if the person is big size might have a hard time getting in. Does not have space to place toiletries at the sink area."

"This is a beautiful property outside the hustle and bustle of the town of Sintra. It helps to have a car if staying here, but Uber is an option. Breakfast is delicious and the staff are wonderful. Armie runs the place and is very friendly and efficient. She makes sure everyone has a positive experience. We are within walking distance of Pena Palace and the Moors castle. Even walking into town is only 25 minutes. You won't regret staying here!"

"Beautiful, quiet, small hotel. Spacious comfortable room (we were in a premium room). You'd benefit from having a car here, but it's not essential. It's slightly inconvenient the hotel doesn't offer evening meals but the village is a 5-10min walk downhill and has several restaurants (we went in the quiet season and there were always at least 2 open). "Property manager canceled my booking the day of. Just hours before I’m supposed to check in, with no notice, safe to say I will never book through Vrbo again. "

"Lena was an amazing hostess. Breakfast was really great (and GF!). Our room (#4) was huge and the patio was great. Facilities are a bit old but the amenities (kitchen access, patio, living room, free wifi, self service bar) we're all fantastic. Noise from a nearby road can be loud but it wasn't a huge bother for us."

"This place was amazing, just tricky to get in and out due to the extreme narrow roads. Andrew, the concierge was AN ANGEL. I feel like he was the only one who truly cared about my experience and took great care of me after a long hard day. But the location is just incredible!! I’d absolutely stay there again. "

"We had a delightful stay at this beautiful property. From customized fresh breakfast each morning (pastries, omelette, meats, cheeses, fresh juices, and more!) to the lush property with peacock and parrots to the incredible room, our stay was a very happy one. Walkable to town (mostly flat) and to National Palace, Regaleira."

"We had a wonderful stay here. Even though it was pouring rain the whole time, we loved all the amenities that were offered at Penha Longa. The staff were incredibly helpful and very kind. Every single one we came in contact with. The indoor pool and spa facilities were amazing! The beautiful chocolate were so special and we bought lots to take home. Our Junior Suite was comfortable and the room service was quick and very good for the kids. We loved our stay and would have loved to stay much longer. Great hotel! "
