"We had a fantastic stay at La Vista Fujikawaguchiko. The service was excellent, from the friendly reception staff to the attentive dining team. The food was delicious, and they kindly accommodated our dietary requirements, which we provided in advance. The views of Mount Fuji were incredible, and we especially enjoyed the bathtub on our balcony. The private onsens were a highlight, and the small touches like free ice candy and complimentary wine made the stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and memorable experience."

A special thank you to the individual who delivered my cheese and fruit platters and wine on February 10, 2025. The genuine kindness, warmth and care in her service made it feel like more than just a meal—it was a gesture of hospitality that spoke volumes. That same evening, I had the pleasure of sitting and speaking with her during the movie screening. That simple act of connection, of shared conversation and kindness, was a highlight of my stay. "Amazing hotel and perfect location right in the city centre. Room was spacious and comfortable. My back has been aching recently but the mattress in my room was very good and of just right level of stiffness so my back felt rested. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast as it had many options and variety. Staff were really friendly and helped me order a taxi to my next destination. Would definitely stay there again. "

"We arrived after dark via taxi and were surprised at the incredible location and architecture. This is an authentic Japanese experience— tatami floors and comfortable futon mats!! We knew we would be magically surprised in the morning and we were! It’s nestled up on the hillside with an incredible view of Mt Fuji! It was a treat to be able to privately soak before bed in an ofuro (we imagine it too has a view of Mt Fuji in the day). Sunrise view in the room of Mt Fuji was unreal! Framed in the most beautiful natural setting. The guesthouse is clean, and the hosts are very friendly and well knowledgable in the area. And fluent in English! Breakfast was delicious and so healthy! A absolute must! The owner was kind enough to drive us to our 9:30 am sake brewery tour in town. We definitely want to stay at Sakuya Guesthouse again and hopefully also climb Fuji San!"

"located not nearby tran station , but the house owner provided free shuttle service, and drove us to a big supermarket nearby. only few minutes walk from the house to lake side, Fujiyama is right over there,beautiful view. there is a very big bathtub in the house, so good, recommend to all vistiors who love Fujiyama"
