"The traditional Japanese rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was elaborate and very good. Great location, close to many shops and park. Only negatives were that the hotel did not have laundry facilities, and the room key had to be left at the desk when leaving the hotel - this meant that if there was a line when we returned,we had to wait to get the room key. This was a real pain. "

"We stayed for a week and got a great rate. Location was ideal, transportation links were fantastic, close to the train station, tram right outside front door as well as airport bus. The room was basic but met our needs and it was clean. Great ac, fridge and kettle in the room. Also there was free luggage storage. Nothing bad to say at all."

"Room is small as expected but not laid out well. No under bed storage is a serious deficiency so the only place to lay an open suitcase is in front of the door. Which means moving so I can jump over it to leave the room and moving it back when I want to get into the bathroom. Only a small bench is provided so there really isn't anywhere comfortable to sit, had to try to make do by propping pillows up on the bed. "I loved my stay at this hotel. The location was super convenient, so close to the main shopping district and a 5 minute walk from the trams and buses, or a 20 minute walk to Sakurajima or the train station. The room was comfortable and the hotel offered a lot of amenities, such as extra pillows, a microwave, laundry service, a 'help yourself' style bar for toiletries and teas. There's also a huge collection of manga. The rooms are cleaned every day and you can request not to have it cleaned. If they aren't cleaned, the staff will still leave you clean pyjamas, towels and bin bags for if you need to freshen up your room. The hotel kindly merged my separate stays into one so I didn't have to change rooms."
