"The property is a delight. The manager, speaks excellent English, and his wife were both so friendly and helpful. The property is in a quiet location near beautiful Sotorua Beach. It is so calm and relaxing. Shimoda is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 30 minute work. There is only one restaurant within easy walking distance and it is excellent. Suggest upgrading to a room with a private outdoor bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay."

"This is a great value property close to Shimoda and the railway station. All rooms are slightly different in layout and are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. I booked a room with a shower for both my stays. Windows are double glazed making the rooms very quiet. There are two private onsen for the use of the guests, which are wonderful. There is no lift and my room was on the third floor. The staff spoke some English and were always very helpful. The bicycles they have for hire are...

"It was nice staying at this guest house Shirahama. It was only a few minutes drive from the Shirahama Beach. Also the restaurant was nice. Breakfast was only 500 Yen, but it was really delicious! The staff were polite and friendly, and the room was clean and quiet. I will definitely stay there again."
