"Quiet and soothing location on the foothills of ski slopes . Kitchen is very thoughtfully stocked with pots and pans , cups and even salt and pepper and soya sauce . Even toaster, kettle, coffee machine , rice cooker , fridge, microwave are all provided in the room . Views are breathtaking. There is a washing machine and even soap is provided. "Great location in town. Near many eateries and convenience stores. The house is big and spacious, quite well equipped but very basic. Sleeps 6 but with only 1 bathroom (but 2 toilets), 4 pax is more comfortable. The huge tv is a bonus. We parked right in front of the house so that’s very convenient. "The lobby and facilities are a bit dated, but the cleanliness of the room really stood out. The room was spacious, allowing plenty of space to move around, which made for a very comfortable stay. I slept well, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you’re renting a car, I highly recommend this place! High season with a affordable price as well "

Good onsen hotel

"A good hotel with onsite onsen (separate public pool for male and female)as well as 3 private onsen. And they have free icecream and light supper. Service may not be tip top excellent but still good. It at the edge of the city so having a car is advisable. "

"The hotel was very convenient.If you arrive early the hotel will hold your luggage. The room was very spacious compared to Japanese standards. The room was clean. The Japanese breakfast had many items to choose from. If you’re not going around in a car this hotel is great and before the hotel from the station, the tourist information office is there. The Biei tourist office runs a tour bus around Biei twice a day. Also get your train and bus schedules. The trains comes every 2 hours after the summer season, so you have to time yourself wisely. "
