"Lovely very clean hotel, well decorated throughout and lovely and warm. Staff nice, breakfast mostly good. Only few snags, pillows were awful need to invest in new decent ones! Also mattress not that comfy, but only my opinion may suit others. Porridge at breakfast not great, no taste of whiskey as advertised and far too thick! Also coffee far to strong! Small things that are easily fixed, otherwise nice clean hotel."

"Luxurious hotel with beautiful rooms. Bed was super comfortable and huge. Gorgeous immaculately clean bathroom with rainfall shower and free standing bath. Leigh was so welcoming, helpful and professional. The Bistro staff were also great. Lovely breakfast selection. Great location. Lots to do and see nearby."

"Amazing friendly staff, clean dog friendly room. Great bar/restaurant with free breakfast. Brought the dog treats and a sausage. Would go back, great location if going to bamburgh castle. "

"Room was nice but very very hot and uncomfortable at points during night. Breakfast was disappointing as breakfast stotties ordered and one was cold and the other was half empty. Also coffee machine was not working and it was noted to make americano but it was very watery and they wouldn’t provide a caffietere or pot of tea which they used to. Service at this point was disappointing as they noted they didn’t want to make the coffee. "

"Had a lovely short break at the Cottage Inn, excellent location within walking distance of Craster and in a central position on the Northumberland Coast. Good base for anyone travelling in the area. The hotel has a real "pub feel" to it which we enjoyed as the locals were in the bar each evening which made a good atmosphere. Will certainly return"
