"Delightful quirky accommodation; staff very friendly, lounge very homely with lovely log burner and plenty of glasses to enjoy your own drinks, snacks or takeaway food etc. Large communal tables which gives lots of opportunity to meet and socialise with other guests. Although our room wasn’t large it had everything we needed and was full of character. Alnwick has lots to see and do and lovely restaurants."

"Room was nice but very very hot and uncomfortable at points during night. Breakfast was disappointing as breakfast stotties ordered and one was cold and the other was half empty. Also coffee machine was not working and it was noted to make americano but it was very watery and they wouldn’t provide a caffietere or pot of tea which they used to. Service at this point was disappointing as they noted they didn’t want to make the coffee. "

It would have been nice to know that information so we could make alternative arrangement and not be disappointed when we got there and be inconvenienced by having to go back out. "The dining room decor was amazing taken from the ship Olympic. Linen tablecloths changed after every meal. The staff were friendly and super efficient and the food was excellent. The bedroom decor was tired and room servicing was below par, water glasses not cleaned. The bar staff were not always available and when we went for a nightcap after the theatre the bar was shut at just 10pm"

"Such a nice place to stay, we’ll definitely be back. The staff were so friendly, the food was great, and the room was lovely. It’s hard to ask for more from a hotel. The parking area was small but we had no problem getting a space. It doesn’t have EV chargers but there are 4 by the beach which is a 2 minute walk away. "A beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Our room (the Bamburgh) was large, bright and very comfortable. There’s a great choice for breakfast and for dinner (with my gluten intolerance catered for brilliantly). The hotel is literally opposite the castle with stunning walks on the doorstep. "

"It was a pleasant stay after visiting Alnwick Gardens. The room was about average size but walk up on third floor. The room was clean and as usual air conditioning was provided by opening the window. Parking is available but not for the faint of heart if you are not used to driving in the UK. "We enjoyed our recent stay here. The room was excellent with a spotless new bathroom and comfortable bed. Better pillows would have been nice but not a problem for a short stay. The food was very good but the service rather slow. We weren't in any hurry but 30-40 minutes to produce breakfast after ordering seemed a bit excessive. Staff were all very friendly and helpful so positive overall."
