"The Great Lake Hotel lies way up on the central plateau and hence is a great place to explore this alpine wilderness. If you like trout fishing there is ample choice. Regarding the Hotel, rooms are very comfortable, staff are so friendly, restaurant is good and the wallabies are a delight in the evening. This is a great place to relax for a few days."

May have been our fault but we were there to fish for trout and found it hard to get info - wish we had been advised to hire a boat on day one. Maybe a few brochures etc could be provided. "We were awed by the generous open living space, with views over the lake. We used the well equipped kitchen to prepare our meals and even went for a refreshing afternoon dip in the lake!
