"Overral impression is okay. Service is a main point of concern. During the lunch time in the lobby area after having main courses and salads we were not allowed to share a single pot of tea for three of us. We have been forced to buy 3 pots of tea instead: one for each of us. In the meanwhile during all 5 breakfasts we had there, every time we asked for tea there was only one pot served as a default setting. No doubt we had more on request, but after a request only. "

"First time staying at Mandarin Oriental in Shanghai, and what a great experience it was! Front desk staff, fast check in, consierge (forgot name of the Mr.) gave me all needed informations about the hotspots in city! Room, modern, clean and spacious with a nice view over the financial district and the river. Breakfast is diverse, Asian/European style. Gym area is superb, combined with 25m swimming pool, saunas, and massage facilities. Overall good value for the money! "

"Beautiful place, very clean, great room, well organised hotel, 99% of staff very happy to help it was fantastic to see, only one morning chief grumpy & rude however it’s no reflection on the rest of the staff they were fantastic. Reasonable choice of food for dinner however the steak we ordered was tough which should not happen in a classy place like the Grand Central Hotel plus the beer a little on the warm side and red wine should not be chilled in fridge only kept on the self. Nowhere is 100%...
