"The hotel was right in the middle of Stresa and a 5 minute walk from the lake. A charming hotel and friendly owner and staff. There is parking, but we were lucky to get a space as it's a public carpark."

"Perfect location, stayed in a suite, enough room for 5 people, very clean, swimming pool great, great bar/restaurant and very reasonable prices and food was delicious! You do need a car to get about. Air conditioning not great, WiFi bit weak, and not so great mosquitos! "

"This is the kind of gorgeous, historic property that you can only find in Europe. Details were thoughtful, the lawns and property itself were carefully maintained. The rooms themselves are all each well appointed lofts/apartments. The owner was attentive when we told her that we had to leave before breakfast so she brought a coffee tray and toasts to our room at 6am the next morning. I would suggest paying at the hotel on arrival because there was some confusion about pre-paying the rooms, but...

"We enjoyed a one night stay here. Giacomo greeted us upon our arrival and provided instructions for bringing in the luggage and use of the apartment. We enjoyed the modern kitchen and were able to have dinner there. The view from the balcony overlooking Lake Maggiore was spectacular. There was a nice little outdoor area in front with some chairs. Giacomo was on standby for several questions by phone as we were getting settled in. "

"A fantastic welcome from Gabriella to her gorgeous and well appointed villa. The view from the terrace over Lake Maggiore was stunning. It is well worth getting up to witness the sun rise over the mountains on the opposite side of the lake. The villa was super comfortable, clean, quiet and had everything we needed. "We wanted an elegant Italian hotel full of style, and this hotel certainly delivered. Our room was upgraded to a lake view, presumably because the hotel wasn’t full. Everywhere you looked there was art work, beautiful decor and a luxurious feel, without being overwhelming. The staff could not be more helpful and professional, particularly the concierge. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food. The bed was quite firm and the cute balcony would have been the perfect place to sit and relax looking at the lake, had it not been for the weather - it rained! However, we would love to return to the hotel some time in the future, with fingers crossed for sunshine."
