"Paulo, the owner, was very attentive and friendly and gave us wonderful service. We were late for check-in and Paulo greeted us after 11pm with a big smile. He gave us all the information we needed, including tips on Portuguese cuisine. The property consists of an old Portuguese house, from the 1800s. It is charming, clean, and has everything we needed for a good night's sleep."

"The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

"Had a lovely time staying here only spoiled by the very awkward steps into the property which is supposed to wheelchair accessible other than that I can thoroughly recommend this beautiful “Quinta” for couples, families with children etc older relatives may struggle with acces also Internet isn’t always available but overall in a nice setting with lots of animals to keep you amused."

"The house was great with plenty of space. The area was stunning and very peaceful with good walks nearby. Coimbra was easy to get to. Martine and Dirk (and their dogs) were great hosts and very helpful. They provided comprehensive information on places to visit, walks, restaurants etc. which made it very easy to plan our stay."

"The house is lovely. We particularly loved the outside kitchen, dining and lounge area and we used this a great deal. The pool was also great. The house is in a good location in a small hamlet but there are no facilities there so you do need to drive everywhere. It is about 20min drive to Coimbra which is a very pretty old city and definitely worth a visit. The Atlantic coast is about 45min drive where there are beautiful long sandy beaches. The only negative is that they supply the nespresso type machines but with no pods. It would have been nice to have coffee in the morning. A lot of channels on the television also.
