"Such a lovely place, in the centre of fields with horses grazing peacefully around making the setting perfect! 10 mins on foot to the beach (to go sea glass hunting) and 10 mins in the car to Morrisons. The beach is pebble and it has a steep incline so if (like me) you suffer with bad knees, you need to take care but it can be done. "We had a party of 15 family and friends for a special get together over a long weekend. Fabulous property with lots of rooms, lots of space and very well appointed kitchen. The directions to the property could provide a little more detail to warn of the very long, climbing road up and over the hill. It feels like you are on the wrong road and suddenly you see the property in the valley beyond. Worth preserving !"

"A comfortable well equipped cottage in a beautiful farm setting. I have mobility issues so parking outside with a ramp to the door, no steps and stairs, and bedrooms with ensuite facilities was ideal. A no-pets policy and hypoallergenic bedding solved an allergy health issue and the beds were very comfortable. The sitting room has access to the garden and views over fields where sheep were sometimes grazing. The obliging host quickly dealt with a heating problem so we very cosy."

"Absolutely brilliant cottage. All new fixtures and fittings with everything you could need for your stay. The drains smell came and went- not sure where it came from and it didn’t really bother us. Location fantastic for walks along the coast and short drive to other coastal towns. Would recommend"

"Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!"

"Had an amazing stay at Whorlton Lodge. Very spacious and very clean was a home from home. We will definitely be returning in the summer. The views were beautiful from the front windows. The enclosed gardens was amazing for our dog milo who had a lovely time playing in the garden and exploring. Keith was lovely and so helpful!"
