"We were thrilled with our choice of Hillthwaite. It has a central location near to both Windermere and Bowness yet high enough on a hill to have views of Lake Windermere from rooms and public spaces. The hotel is beautifully organized with several public lounges: sun room, library, bar/lounge and restaurant–all of which feature Lake views, as well as outdoor terraces. "Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. "
