"The hotel has lots of character and is small enough to have that personal touch. Rooms are spacious with cosy beds and a spa bath. Bar is a nice place to unwind with a drink. Spa and treatments were very reasonably priced. Breakfast was a slight disappointment due to dirty plates and cutlery. Overall it was a great value for money experience and we will certainly be returning. "

"Basic but spotlessly clean. Good for a short stay where all I needed was bed and breakfast. My only complaint was that I was not warned that parking was restricted (on Saturdays as well as weekdays) and I got a ticket. Not really their fault, but maybe something to note."

"The check in and welcome was the best we've ever experienced anywhere! It was such a massive surprise and so refreshing. We travelled with a dog and were instantly put at ease and made to feel welcome and like returning guests. We cannot praise this lovely lady enough! The hotel has fabulous character and it's of the era with tonnes of charm. If you want modern, soulless straight lines, go elsewhere. "Very clean the toilet, room and everywhere. Staff were helpful and nice."

"Service was great a the hotel is newly decorated and clean. Didn’t use the spa but looks good. Minor gripes were that the reception staff were not always there and the extra key ‘card machine’ was not especially simple. The TV had unusual channels and I would have liked more comfortable chairs in the bedroom. Otherwise, a good value hotel with a great shower."

"The room was clean, the hotel was lovely, the staff were helpful and very friendly, the room had a fridge and a microwave which we had not experienced anywhere before this added a lovely touch 😀 we were there on a very windy weekend and the windy interfered with the tv but issues were soon rectified, the mattress wasnt the most comfortable but the price was right, yes i would recommend it and i would stay again, thankyou st george"
