"Beautiful building and really friendly staff. Our room was over the restaurant so very noisy but didn’t go on till late so didn’t really bother us. The bathroom could do with a tidy up. Black limescale in the toilet and bath and carpet a bit grubby. Breakfast was really good with a good choice and as much coffee and tea as you want. Overall a good visit."

"It's an old fashioned inn - a pub with bedrooms above. The rooms are full of character, especially "The King" which we stayed in had some fun features and a great view over towards the castle. Room was clean, well presented, with all the niceties you would want and expect (tea/coffee, water, mini toiletries). It's a great location too - but it's not for those who would be put off by low ceilings and rickety staircases. "

"It was just perfect for a weekend stopover. Very good rooms. Evening meals were excellent as was breakfast. Electric charging was very cheap, but somewhat convoluted unless you have the app (Apple only so no go for me!) Highly recommended."
