"This is an INCREDIBLE hotel...from the initial communication, arranging our ground transportation, being met by Jennifer and given a history of Matera to the stunningly beautiful cave we slept in, this was a perfect place. The breakfast was beautiful and delicious. The setting of Matera is stunning. My only regret is that we only had one night there. I am already trying to plan a return trip."

"This was a "blow the budget" trip for me and I was not disappointed. The hotel is built into caves and has fantastic views of the city and over the ford (you can walk over). My room (a cave in itself) was huge, a large jacuzzi in the centre (would likely accommodate 4 people) and a modern wet room at rear, decor and lighting was perfect. When I paid for the reservation they sent me text message instructions explaining where I need to find a place to park and then walk from there to the property 10 to 20 minute on the hilly streets with my luggage.
