"As the name implies, this was an excellent place to get to know Madeira. The grounds of this property is truly a gardener’s paradise with *labeled* endemic Madeiran species as well as exotics, including massive rhododendrons. The home itself was very clean and cozy with all the comforts needed. Located very close to town with shopping center, restaurants, etc. The children loved exploring the levadas and trails, and especially loved the peacocks! "Das Haus ist eine sehr schöne und saubere Unterkunft auf Madeira. Victor ist ein hervorragender und sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Selten haben wir es erlebt, das und soviel Zeit gewidmet wurde. Tipps zu Restaurants, Umgebung, Ausflüge etc. Die Ausstattung bietet alles was ein schöner Urlaub braucht. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt. Auch die Aussenanlage ist gut gepflegt und bietet viel Platz zum Erholen. Der abendliche Blick auf Funchal ist phantastisch....

"Fabulous adults only hotel. Super friendly with a green eco approach with cleaning the rooms, towels etc. We enjoyed buffet breakfast style restaurant with menu options too. The Michelin restaurant Desarma was the best experience, we added the wine flight to complete a special Birthday for my partner. It was a tad Nicer than The William restaurant at the Belmond Hotel. My score 4 stars for cleaning only because the windows were bit dirty and the floor around the windows where the tables are was quite dusty. Easy to walk down to town although up hill coming back, but do able. Taxis plentiful everywhere."
