"Large, clean apartment with beautiful back yard/terrace. Very close to ocean and cliff side walks. Hugo was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Area is a bit far from old town, but we walked it multiple times. We wanted to be out of Funchal core for easier road trips to other areas of Madeira. Shopping and restaurants all near by. Totally enjoyed our trip and stay at Hugo's!"

"The host was very helpful and reliable. Many examples: our flight kept changing hours and he ended up welcoming us on Christmas day at midnight. He reminded us that stores are closed and offered to buy groceries for us when we were emailing him from London (The host answers almost within the minute which is very helpful when you're having problems with an airline). The “visible”areas were clean but there was significant dust and debris under the kitchen cabinets, behind doors etc. It’s timely for some things to be replaced as their wear and age are quite evident. The host was responsive and pleasant to work with for issues we encountered."
