"We had an incredible stay here, highly recommend. Family home, staff are attentive and responsive and very helpful. Unbelievable views from the balcony overlooking the Douro river and the valley. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathroom was giant and parking behind a gated fence so very secure and safe. Great breakfast that comes included and nice lounge area to relax in over a glass of their welcome port. Overall, we loved our time and would absolutely be back."

"Covelo-Original is exactly what a small guesthouse should be. Our stay was perfect. The Covelo is in the heart of old town and steps away from restaurants and just over the bridge is the religious centre. The room had everything needed (fridge, kettle, coffeemaker, all of which aren’t common in a POR room). "SURPRISE: l'établissement était fermé pour "TRAVAUX" (aménagements intérieurs et construction piscine), mais la réservation toujours possible ! Les propriétaires nous ont assuré d'avoir signalé la fermeture de l’établissement, et ont été désagréablement surpris (tout comme nous) de voir arriver des clients avec réservation payée ! Rien n'était prêt forcément ! Etant donné l'éloignement de l'établissement par rapport à la ville et l'heure tardive d'arrivée, nos hôtes nous ont finalement proposé...
