"Taking into account that Ibis Hotels are not in the luxury segment, I must say that the rooms are generally well-maintained and clean. The bathroom, and especially the shower, is very comfortable and spacious. One of the most positive aspects is the mattress, which is extremely comfortable, and the fact that Ibis Hotels are pet-friendly is a great advantage. However, my only negative remark is not related to the hotel itself but rather to the reservation process. In this case, the booking was made through Expedia.com, which did not provide an option to request a receipt with the VAT number (factura com NIF)—something I require for company expenses. Additionally, there is no straightforward way to contact Expedia to resolve this issue. I managed to call an Expedia number, which cost me nearly 6 euros, only to be informed by the representative that I had reached the wrong department. They provided me with another paid number to call, but that number does not work. If I am unable to obtain the receipt with the VAT number as needed, I will stop making future reservations through Expedia. "

"Lawrence's Hotel is a charming historic hotel that was a delight to stay in. It is just a few minutes walk from the Sintra National Palace and from cute shops and good restaurants. It is also close to the bus stop for transport to the other Sintra castles. The hotel itself is lovely - our room had a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and towns and was very nicely decorated. There are cozy sitting rooms in the hotel for relaxation or conversation. The restaurant served delicious food (we ate both dinner and breakfast there and very much enjoyed both). I would be very happy to stay here again."
