"We had a fantastic time as a family at this property. It's an old-style farmhouse building - so don't expect pristine condition. But, everything was clean/tidy, and the kitchen had all you needed to cook/BBQ. The house is up a reasonably steep hill so we would recommend a car if you have people in your group that struggle to walk. "This property is at the end of an unmade road which means you will see almost no-one during your stay so it's very private. It's an easy 30 minute drive from Faro. Rui, the host, is very helpful and easy to talk to. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and we wanted for nothing."

"This is a lovely villa in a lovely peaceful location, the pool was well maintained and the house was clean. There are however a number of negatives with this property; when we booked the property the pool was advertised as heated, it is not. There are air conditioning units in the sitting room and one in the master bedroom, neither of which work, we understand they have been "disabled". "Perfect villa for a family holiday. In a quiet area but not too far from Vilamoura. Fantastic authentic farmhouse with plenty of space and gorgeous entertainment areas especially the swimmong pool. Would highly recommend for a large family holoday. Jenny was a great host who was always available if you had any questions. "

"Our group was 2 couples ( in our 60s) staying for a week. The Villa was perfect as both bedrooms had en suites along with decent sized living areas to relax. We enjoyed the fresh oranges from the groves that are part of the property. It is a very quiet and relaxing environment. We did not walk into the town as it is a long walk - a car is necessary . "Great place lovely hide away. Completely tucked away but only a short distance from shops or restaurants. Estói is lovely traditional town. Steve is a lovely bloke and made sure everything was catered for. The converted farm house is Very special design all the modern amenities but with classy Original features. "The apartment was comfortable, reasonably well equipped, and the beds were good. There was daily housekeeping, and linens were changed every 3 or 4 days. There's a modest gym, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, a cold tub, and a tennis court. We ate in mostly, but there's enough restaurants open in February to eat out too. This was our second stay at Cerro Mar."

"We selected the all inclusive buffet and it was amazing day after day. Sao was always welcoming and so was all the staff. The location is close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. The backyard pool was pleasant to hang out around and read or have a drink. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Excellent stay of 2 weeks. "

"I was shocked that this hotel is a 3 star hotel because it seems like a 4 or 5 star. Excellent service, super friendly staff so clean, spacious apartment and very modern/beautiful. Also in a really good location very close to the restaurants."

"Stayed for 4 nights, hotel in a great location. Easy access to beach, marina, shops, restaurants and a short walk into Quarteira. From the moment you enter, the staff are amazing. Large, comfortable rooms, restaurants, bars and general areas all immaculate. Great indoor and outdoor pools, spa and gym contained in beautiful grounds. B&B option includes a superb buffet breakfast, with large variety of foods available. Although located at bottom of marina and hotel was busy, very quiet at night with no noise, which was great."

"Don’t hesitate to stay at this very special hotel! The setting is beautiful with lovely views, gardens, lake and man -made beach. We took the bird/flora tour and the wine tasting, both were fantastic! The choice of leisure activities is awesome, something for everyone! Breakfasts were just the best with so much choice (the fruit and freshly baked bread and pastries were exceptional). Above all, a big thank you to the staff who, without exception, could not do enough for you with a smile and a greeting. Special mention to Alex, customer relations, who sent us wine and macaroons and was so helpful, Mona in the restaurant who anticipated our every need and was such fun! The lovely, bubbly (great English!) lady on reception who took the bird tour. Wonderful holiday, ten out of ten."
