"Kula Maya is definitely the highlight of San Marcos, having the most excellent views and a friendly staff. The town is very charming and much more enjoyable than some of the busier towns on other parts of the lake. The restaurant has great food and a nice high-end bar selection. Prices are quite a bit higher than anything in the area, but the atmosphere makes it very worth it. The rooms could have been better-sealed to keep wind and bugs out, but I guess it can't be perfect in an eco-friendly...

"Our stay at Eden was the most enjoyable we’ve had in all of Guatemala. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I loved stepping outside of my little cabin and smelling fresh herbs like basil, lavender, and oregano. Our cabin was adorable and the staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable, safe, and like we were apart of the community. Judd and Maria were so friendly and gave us great recommendations of restaurants and things to do. There was even a restaurant at the hotel with yummy...
