The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. "We quite enjoyed our stay at Donato's flat in Salerno. It's located right on the edge of the historic district, an easy walk to everything. The sea walk is close by, as are the cathedral and Minerva's Garden. There are many many restaurants nearby. Communication with Donato and his son, Roberto, was excellent. "Very spacious, big balcony with a great vieuw. The sunscreen was broken so in the morning you can not sit in the shadow. Private parking was ideal! On walking distance you can enjoy restaurants en local shops. The location was perfect, only a short drive to the parking at the beach, to take the boat to Amalfi."
