"We had a blast! The Lazy River was the most talked about and used amenity. Even though it was colder than what we planned we loved it at Rio Rodanthe. No reason to go anywhere else. We all had a fanastic time."

"We loved staying at "Beach Boys"! There was plenty of room for two adults and four teens; nobody ever felt cramped. The beds were very comfortable (and extra blankets were available for anyone who sleeps cooler), there were plenty of towels for the six of us, and the kitchen had more than enough dishes/pots and pans/utensils/etc. for us to cook a few dinners in. I'm not sure how long ago the house was renovated, but everything looked new and clean. We weren't staying in peak season, so a lot of the local businesses weren't open for the season or closed early, but there was still plenty to do. We had a lovely week and will hopefully be able to come stay again soon!"

"We were delayed arriving due to issues with the Cedar Island ferry. I called Laura and she made arrangements to leave the porch light on and key in the room. She was so nice to deal with on the phone and the next morning when we checked out. Restaurant recommendations were great for breakfast, The room was renovated, clean and fresh. The entire motel looks like it is undergoing a facelift. I am sure when it is completed it will be very nice. We were pleasantly surprised at this motel. "

"Our vacation at Sol e Mare was fantastic. The property was very clean, spacious, bright, and easy to settle into for a week. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the private hot tub/pool area, the views from the decks, and the short walk to the beach. We appreciated the owners' responsiveness and ease of communication. We highly recommend Sol e Mare!"

"The house was spotless when we arrived (though a bit outdated), and the view from the upper deck was tremendous. The kitchen was well-stocked for a week of cooking. Because we came in the off season, we often had our own private beach. We saw dolphins EVERY DAY, innumerable species of seabirds, and even a humpback whale slapping the sea in the far distance! The stargazing from the top deck was spectacular with many sightings of shooting stars. We had such a lovely week. I would highly recommend this stay."
