"We stayed in two suites that were large and authentic Arabian design with alot of attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious daily and the lunch and dinner menu was best in area. There are however excellent cafes and restaurants close by, as well as a full modern grocery store for anything you want like home. Tap water is drinkable. "Firstly, staying in Sale means you get a more "step back in time" feeling. You won't see many other tourists on the streets, the market is authentic because it's used by the locals and you don't get hassled and the medina is fabulous (walking around the medina walls facing Rabat was a highlight of our trip). We drove so you need to figure out parking in advance (most Medinas in Morocco are pedestrian majority so Google maps can be sketchy). If you use public transport it's a bit of a walk, but...
