"Room I stayed had beautiful view of ski resort, but it was very quiet, also how they arranged the bathroom and toilet and wash basins was very nice to shared by two persons and with privacy. Also hotel offered very nice public bath, which I would like to recommand very highly. However, choice of food could of been wider, but all and all this place was alot better located and offed better food than other hotels I stayed at Karuizawa before."

"The view is excellent, service is good, meals are yammy, every thing is attractive for next stay. Except a stuff in the front desk is not friendly to new visitor. She missed my booking and ask to contact with Hotel.com strongly at that time even I show her Hote.com confirmation letter and would like to pay for a new room till her college found my reservation. It's great that I got my room after 30 minutes in communication with her. Otherwise, I cannot image heavy snowing and darker outside...

"loved it so much we actually booked same brand of hotel in the next town we visited. the onsen was so lovely, and open overnight which allowed me to relax while my partner took some calls (late night in Japan but working in business hrs US time zone). free washing machines were so nice. other treats (free coffee, tea, probiotic drinks, ice cream pops) added bonus. walkable from train station and the attractions we wanted to visit "

"The rooms were very clean and the location was excellent. We were a short walk from the train station and also a nice walk to the Matsumoto Castle. The only negative experience was the free breakfast which was styrofoam dinner trays, individually wrapped croissants and a Japanese style breakfast which we did not find appetising. "We stayed for one night. The staff provided excellent service, although they don't speak English well. The room was spacious and clean. There is a kitchen and washing machine with dryer, which are suitable for long stays. 30 mins drive from Karuizawa Station. In winter, the road becomes slippery due to snow and ice, so drive carefully."

However, there are a few things that could’ve been better: (1) kitchen is incredibly poorly equipped with exactly 1 cutting knife and no cutlery at all, not even a spoon, (2) the toilet isn’t private, as the window is not shaded and there were builders just in front of the window, (3) it’s impossible to have a shower whilst standing up as there’s no fixing for the shower head and (4) we were...
