"Beautiful country house with lovely architectural features inside and out surrounded by meadows and woods. Close to many other lovely Renaissance castles, romantic little towns and- of course - the Loire. "We stayed at Valerie’s beautiful Gite for a week in August, 7 of us in total, 4 adults, 2 young children and one toddler. The Gite is beautiful with a modern interior and a fresh airy feel - lovely garden and the perfect sized swimming pool for the children to stay safe. Lestiou is a quiet rural village with a nice snack bar just down the road and a car is essential for a stay here. Although the Nuclear power station is visible this didn’t impact our enjoyment. "The property met our needs, but there were some things that could have been better. On the upside, because we had young children along, the pool was a bonus. The donkeys, goats, chickens, and roosters were enchanting. On the downside, if someone wants to be close to the surrounding cities (Tours/Amboise) with pubs and restaurants, this is not the place. Also, the place needs some TLC and a good scrubbing."
