"Very relaxing and comfortable stay in the countryside near Sarlat. The room was small but comfortable and with all amenities. Very quiet in an old country home. A great French breakfast was included and you can order dinner (be sure to ask the host in the morning) with fresh and high quality local delicacies. The host was also very friendly and helpful. We recommend for anyone looking to taste the Périgord countryside!"

"La maison et ses lieux sortent d’un livre d’histoire. Les propriétaires sont sympa et nous ont accueilli à bras ouverts malgré notre réservation dernière-minute. Chambre au décor charmant et lit bien comfortable. Ils nous ont réservé une table au restaurant voisinant pour le dîner et ont recommandé des superbes lieux à explorer dans cette région enchantée. "Incredible hotel. This hotel has been recently renovated to a very high standard, especially the Maraval Suite which is perfect for families. The staff at the hotel, especially Laurie, are very helpful. The swimming pool is heated and perfect for both relaxing and swimming lengths. The spa area is very nice too. The surroundings are very peaceful and we loved our time at Maraval. Great location close to La Roque Gageac, Beynac-et-Cazenac and more. Recommend the Pito bakery in Cénac for...

"Nous avons passé 3 jours agréables dans ce bel établissement. Son emplacement est idéal car nous pouvons rejoindre toutes les principales attractions touristiques de la région en moins de 20 minutes. Nos hôtes étaient très agréables et nous ont donné de bons conseils sur les endroits à visiter et où manger. Nous prévoyons d'y retourner et nous les recommanderons à tous nos amis. "Lovely room in an ideal location. Easy short walk to the town for dining options. Clean, comfortable room in a beautiful garden setting with a river at the end. Feels very relaxing and is ideal for seeing the Dordogne area. Owners are lovely and very helpful with suggestions for where to visit. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight. ONE WARNING - this property does not accept credit cards, however there is an ATM nearby."

"An amazing place tucked away in the countryside but conveniently located for lots of the area’s attractions. We came in late Sept and the weather was warm enough for us to picnic our evening meal on the terrace in peace and quiet. The hosts are brilliant nothing is too much trouble and spent time explaining the best places to go. The rooms are of a really high standard and decorated impressively. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. "

"Our stay here was amazing, very comfortable with quality linens and furniture. Location was convenient to different sites in the region. Anne was a gracious and warm host that made us feel comfortable immediately and had suggestions what to do in the area. The food was outstanding. One of the best places we’ve stayed at in over 30 years of travel. We stayed 4 days, wish we could’ve stayed longer. "

"After reading the reviews we decided to take a punt and book the holiday. I’m so glad we did! All the reviews (good and bad) are spot on. The property is ‘rustic’. There are no frills but the layout of the house was perfect for 2 families and it is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. We all forgot towels and Lucie was at the door before I had even signed off. "

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
