"The photos made the space look great. In person, it was less impressive but overall a good experience. We still liked the layout of the room. But the bed is a little too soft, and the bedding well used. The name is not on the outside of the building, so it was a little confusing. They did send a photo of the door with the room access info that hadn't downloaded on my phone. Technically on the fifth floor, but there is an Entresol floor before the first floor - 120 stairs up. "The hosts were nice and friendly. But this is NOT a hotel! I arrived at 9 pm after a long journey and was told to be quiet as people were sleeping , was not offered any refreshment or drinks , and was shown straight to my room . It is a private house low quality BnB. The beds and linen were old, although clean. The breakfast looked nice but I didn’t have time to stay . A nice cat slept on my bed with me . "

"The pictures do not do this place justice. This place provides a definite WOW affect. Very clean, organized and cant beat the location. In the heart of town, easy access to everything. Most important, the host was amazing. We left behind some articles and he went out of his way to return the item. I will definitely stay there again. My go to place now."

"We visit St Paul De Vence yearly and it was a joy to come across this gem. Minimally decorated, and sensitively landscaped with perhaps one of the most well-made pools ever, our stay was enjoyable. "Excellent place to stay. We had a 'self-catering' apartment at La Maison aux Bonsais. The sign on the door says 'Guest House'. The owner Luc (and his son Michael) were very welcoming. When we arrived the fridge and pantry were well provided, basically giving us breakfast for our five day stay (with a short walk to the nearby boulangerie).
