"I can't say enough good things about both the cottage and the hosts. Jane welcomed us warmly and showed us around. The views from our windows were gorgeous. We loved the cottage; in fact, we loved the entire property. She and her husband, Giampiero, recommended places to visit: local towns, restaurants, coffee shops, and gelato shops as well as a wonderful wine tour and tasting at the castle above the property, which Jane bookled for us. We're hikers and enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds and a road leading up to the castle. When our rental car nearly had a flat Jane noticed and gave us the name of a tire shop and the time they closed. If she hadn't we would surely have had a blowout out in the country somewhere. We tired of very touristy places early on in our trip and were grateful for their less-touristy recommendations. Another American couple staying there said it was their second visit and I can see why. If we return to Tuscany, which is everything we thought it would be and more, we'd definitely stay there again. It didn't hurt that although we don't speak Italian (I'm sorry to say), Jane is fluent in both English and Italian. One or our best VRBO experiences ever!"

"Anna was just a delightful host - because we came in late, we asked if she could provide us a simple meat/cheese tray (at our cost of course) and she provided a 4 course home made meal!!!! It was fantastic and we ate leftovers for our entire stay. The villa is just beautiful and had everything we needed and more - be sure to come in warm weather to use the pool. It's a perfect home base to explore the area - but be prepared to drive the curvy roads - which is half the fun! "

"We stayed at this very special villa for 6 nights in September. Our host, Guido, was exceptional and we really appreciated his hospitality. We traded maple syrup for olive oil and he invited us to join an evening with his friends and family and made Prosecco/maple syrup cocktails! The property is an historic villa with loads of charm and character and it felt very calming to be here. Two of our favourite meals were in nearby restaurants ( Mandri and La Bottega Di Castagneto). The vista from the property overlooks the mountains of Tuscany and is spectacular. We had a wonderful walk/hike in the nearby Park Nazionale Delle Foreste Casentinesi. Next time we would take advantage of the nearby train into Florence. The pool view is gorgeous. Our weather was cool due to the end of September and the roads are typical mountain roads. Would love to return. "

"What a slice of paradise Marco's house is, it is better than the photos and the perfect place to retreat to after exploring the Tuscan countryside. Mrs Lucia, her sister and daughter gave us an unforgettable evening teaching us how to make pasta...something the kids will never forget. The pool was a beautiful relief from the heat. Beds very comfortable. Marco a great communicator. We would definitely come back stay!"
