"We all enjoyed our stay for our Dad's 70th Birthday. The pool was used constantly! The house was very clean, well equipped and beds comfortable. The grounds and surrounding areas to the property are beautiful. Alan, the host was good at communicating and replied very quickly to any queries I had. My only gripe, which didn't detract from the stay at all, would be plastic cups for the pool area and maybe some pictures and ornaments throughout the house to make it feel more homely. Thank you...

"We had an amazing sunny week in Gardenstown. Sunnyside House has a fabulous view over the village and out to sea. The sunsets are stunning! The house itself is clean, well decorated and and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The locals I met on my daily morning stroll around the village and along the beach were lovely and friendly. We loved Portsoy and Cullen and had some lovely beach and cliff top walks."

"Friendly welcome and Dougie the owner couldn’t be more helpful. We arrived wet and frozen on bicycles cycling NE 250 and didn’t expect much but whole place is amazing. Accommodation is clean and has everything one needs for comfortable stay. Big bonus is games room. One of THE BEST places we have stayed."

"An excellent glamping site with a chilled atmosphere and lovely landscape. We stayed in the Wheelhouse which is perfect for 2. It was rustic with nice basic facilities. The wee on site shop had ample supplies (bring cash for it). The area was lovely to walk around and we enjoyed the fishing hut community hub. We enjoyed our stay and loved the quirky site. Would definitely come back. "

"Property pictures were completely inaccurate. Arrived at property to find the garden a mess and overgrown. Inside house there was holes in walls, filthy paintwork, loose wiring on lights, the fridge and freezer was filthy. Didn't even stay in the property. Property host has claimed that he was unaware of the issues and stated that a full refund would be given, however only a partial refund has so far been issued. Currently going between vrbo helpline and host to resolve this. Never again."
