"Absolutely beautiful home that was cozy yet quite spacious. It would be good for a larger group and a longer stay as there is quite a lot of space… Both in the kitchen area as well as gathering spots and sleeping beds. It was a great location to explore the Amish community as well as Howe Diner and touch into Michigan. It was nice to have a great place to play cards and relax after an adventure and show and Shipshewana."

"I spent every summer of my childhood in Oakwood, so I know the cottage well. It used to belong to Rev. Ross Cook. My grandparents were George and Marie Cook (no relation to Rev. Cook) and they built the cottage at 1019 S Lake Dr. They worked at the old hotel every summer for decades. My dad also worked there during his teen years and so did I. I loved the view of the park. "Perfect getaway for my book club anniversary weekend. Everything was pretty much as stated. Only thing was one of the bedrooms wasn't really a bedroom. There were plenty of beds so we made due. We would consider staying again. in warmer months. "
